As a prof. Chef I have used the brand for years.I would certainly recommend the d5 for today's gas stoves.Go low and slow to avoid bluing the steel.Allow the cookware to warm up before choosing a 4 or 5 setting.

I was hesitant about buying stainless steel due to fear of not knowing how to properly use or clean them. My husband ended up purchasing these and I love them. I got rid of most of my non stick pans because I can use these stainless steel ones for almost everything. They are a little heavy but still manageable in the kitchen. I can’t really comment on durability but they sure do feel durable. So far they’ve been great.
