Lasts a lifetime

Handcrafted in our Canonsburg, PA factory, our D5 cookware is made using ultra-durable stainless steel that won’t warp or tarnish, so it’ll cook like new for years.

Compatible with all cooktops

Gas, electric, or induction, the D5 Collection works with all kinds of cooking surfaces, to give you the ultimate versatility. You can even put it in the oven or broiler (up to 600°F).

Easy to clean

To keep your All-Clad D5 pieces looking like new, we recommend washing your cookware with mild detergent and sponge instead of the dishwasher. After all, you may just want to hold it a little longer. And thanks to its mirror-polished surface, it’ll look pristine, meal after meal.

Description

A Saute Pan scores high points for versatility. They have a larger surface area so you can fit lots of ingredients, stir them or toss them around, and have them cook evenly. Meanwhile, their straight sides are not too short or too tall and keep oils from splattering and foods from flying out of the pan, so there’s less to clean after. As part of our D5 Stainless Collection, this Saute Pan is made with our patented process that bonds 3 layers of stainless steel with 2 layers of aluminum. It distributes heat more evenly and slowly, eliminating hotspots, so your food doesn’t stick or burn. For an added touch of style, it has a timeless brushed finish that adds a bit of texture and refinement to your kitchen. At 3 quarts, it’s just the right size for most meals. To keep your All-Clad looking brand new, we recommend washing your cookware with a soap and sponge instead of the dishwasher. Like all our bonded cookware, it's handmade in the USA at our Canonsburg, PA factory with ultra-durable materials that'll last a lifetime and never go out of style. A flat, stainless-steel lid is included to lock in moisture. Handles & handle loops are made in China.

Staple in the kitchen.

Use to cook acidic foods that damage cast iron seasoning.

Quality product

Its a used product but I could barely see the tiny scratch on the surface very minimal. The pan is amazing. AllClad is superior is delivering on what is says it will do. I have made several meals and they all cooked extremely well. My chicken cutlets were all evenly cooked (unlike some pans you need to move the food around to get them done well). If there is one negative, its the size of the handle. It is uber long and I have arthritis. Hence why I gave it 4 not 5 stars. It is also a heavy pan but that is to be expected with this quality pan. Its still a great product and I recommend it!

I Got a Lemon!

I bought this in Dec 2019. It has not been easy to clean, not like the All-Clad roasting pan which is an absolute wonder to clean. This one has been a nightmare. This latest time, I've had tried 5 attempts to remove the food that burned on and never should have. I've used Dobie pads and soap, Bar Keepers Friend overnight three times, and then after contacting All-Clad tried their advice of baking soda/water/soap concoction and now a white vinegar soak. The pictures I am attaching show the progression of cleaning but still the most stubborn will require a lot of scrubbing. I'd sorely love to use a steel wool pad but that would, I'm sure, negate the warranty. Having spent $180+ for this thing and having repeated burning problems with it since I got it, I've been disappointed at All-Clad's response when they were told of the problem. Their advice is to keep scrubbing. I didn't expect to have to do this much scrubbing for a pan this expensive. I'd have done better with a cheap Teflon one. Also, All-Clad has completely ignored my inquiry about the warranty. So it seems All-Clad may have a lifetime warranty but it might mean it will take a lifetime to get satisfaction, if ever. I would not recommend this particular product although I do love their roasting pan. That one performs as this one should.

All my cooking needs

I took it out of the box and first off this is no wimpy pan it will do anything I can imagine it heated right up and held the heat I cooked. A hamburger just to test the heat factor then the cleaning both were great mind you I bought used like new I could find nothing wrong with the pan or the price great purchase

Expensive, but very nice!

So far, so good. I just got it and cooked with it yesterday. I was careful to preheat the pan properly before I put the oil in it, and nothing stuck in the sauce I made. It worked like a nonstick pan and cleaned up like a breeze. It took longer to heat than I expected, based on the reviews, but I was just being very cautious. The only drawback I've seen is that it is very heavy, but the "helper handle" helps with that. Like another reviewer said, it is as heavy as a cast iron skillet. Overall, I'm very pleased with it, and I'm sure I'll use it a lot.

perfect size for larger batches ...it's the goldilocks size...just prefect

Yep, these ain't cheap but if your serious about your cooking and enjoy your time in the kitchen whisking up your favorite recipe you should consider investing in high quality cookware. For years I hesitated and settled for good quality imitations such as the Emeril's cookware but finally decided to treat myself to the real thing and find out if they are worth the high prices. Yes they certainty do. No hot spots, better results at lower heat, tight lids that allow even lower heats due to fantastic heat retention (just use a higher initial temperature put the lid on and reduce to low/medium and you get a better result than having to use med/high on other less efficient wares)I got the same satisfaction than when I decided to buy chef quality knives ... Once you cut and dice with a "real pro knife" you know why it cost $250.I think of these pots as an investment and a heirloom to pass on to my kids. These things are so well built that you know they will last forever (proper care of course)I read reviews stating that you will do just as good with the classic trii-ply stainless but these are truly a step ahead. How can two layers of aluminum not be better than one? It keeps a uniform heat over the entire surface and sides at lower temperatures, perfect for braising, slow cooking, stews etc and also quickly searing and pan frying without hot spots trying to shuffle the food around so that each gets a shot at it ... With these the heat is uniform all around, just don't crowed the pieces during the searing process.Yep I did pay a small fortune for a custom hand picked set but these are worth every penny.Btw don't get drawn into buying the "sets" you don't really save much except if you really need the huge 8 and 12 qt stock pots and prefer frying pans over skillets.I selected the 11 and 13 inch skillets with lids, the 1.5 and 3 qt sauce pans, the 3qt casserole steamer combo, the 4 qt sauté pan, the 6 qt deep sauté pot and 6 qt fry basket. That's the equivalent of 16 pieces for the price of their advertised 14 piece set. FYI I keep my Emeril's 6 qt stock pot that I will use for deep frying on my induction portable burner (it has a copper core and I won't suffer if it gets stained with grease frying at higher temperatures)I prefer skillets and after researching realized that the 13 inch can also be used as a paella pan as they are similar except for the handle.Word of caution, these are heavy, best suited for men or strong women not afraid to handle them.
