Wow! A great set of knives!
I was really surprised to find a great knife set like this available on Vine. I was worried that as I read the listing, someone else would snap these up. I ordered them and couldn't wait for the set to get here. The knives are of excellent quality - they are exactly what you would expect from a brand like Calphalon. It is difficult for me to assess the SharpIN technology because I haven't had them long enough for the blades to get worn down - and I didn't want to start chopping up blocks of ice just to test it. But I have no doubt these will stay sharp and be more durable than most knife sets because I trust the brand. I'm so happy with this knife set. I think this is a steal for the money at the price it was listed when I ordered.

The one thing I was concerned about with these knives was how much the built-in sharpener might shorten the life of the blades, and I guess only time will tell for that. The brand recognition and lifetime warranty tipped the balance and I'm so glad it did. Love this set and the convenience of always having a sharp knife is amazing. Matching steak knives and kitchen scissors are a welcome addition. I think my kid is getting a present...my recently purchased and now 2nd favorite knife set. :)So happy I made the decision to get this.

The knives in this set are beautifully crafted with a sleek, modern design that looks fantastic on my countertop. Built to last and cut
This set is not about just looking professional and having style. These knives work really well. The steak knives are super sharp and cut with almost zero pressure. The set looks great on the counter top, but is even more useful for almost every job you have in the kitchen.I wasn't very excited about the internal knife sharpener idea, and in fact it does require getting used to placing the knives into the block easily, but overall I'm getting used to it. The ceramic sharpeners do not remove material as much as just hone it, so I don't think it will shorten the life span of the knives. But, I just hesitate to think that I'm never going to have to sharpen them. And if that is the case, why bother this this system?But only time will tell if it is worth putting the sharpener in the block. Right now, I am just excited to have such a nice set of knives and they feel great in the hand and are super effective. Overall, solid 5 stars.

Perfect knife Set
This is a good looking Calphalon Premier 15 piece knife set and very flashy knife -- it's well balanced and came razor sharp out of the box.The finish is great, there are no rough spots, the handle is polished, has enough texture and the grip is comfortable in my hand. The knife is well balanced at the bolster, which is a very under-rated but important aspect in my opinion as it allows you properly hold it and cut with precision and without fatigue. Its great having the sharpener built it!!Functionally, it cuts really well out of the box and was plenty sharp. The shape is a classic santoku knife which has great overall versatility. The knife slices well and can also helps it to be a good rocking chopper/mincing knife -- so not just aesthetically pleasing, but functional as well. The factory edge should and hold up for quite some time. It sliced through tomatoes, onions, cabbage and all shorts of veggies without slowing down, cut meat with ease and still had a razor sharp edge. The edge geometry (how the edge is ground) is decent and very thin at the cutting edge like a Japanese style knife as opposed to a western/german style. Because of this, I am hesitant to try cutting anything too hard (trimming meat w/o bones or hard squash) for the fear of chipping the blade...becasue it is a good looking knife.4.5/5 -- Overall a very good all around chef's knife -- it's got the attractiveness and sharpness of a Shun Knife at about half the cost and I really dig the bigger belly.Packaging is also on point. It comes in a good box and a blade sheath for travel or storage. This would make a great gift.
Nice complete set
I really enjoy this set of knives. It's a complete set and so far, I haven't had the need to look for any other type of knife that might not be included in this set. It includes a set of kitchen scissors, general utility knife, steak knives, a bread knife, a short utility knife, etc. I wanted to include pics of each knife, but whenever I post more than one or two pictures, my review gets rejected. The base has inserts with sharpeners in each slot except for the serrated knives. The sharpeners are spring loaded and the gently move with the blade as you insert or remove each knife. I've used most of the knives pretty extensively so far, and I can't tell they are any duller than when I first received them. The base is attractive and again, it's COMPLETE. No more digging in my drawers to try to find the right knife. I'm very happy with the product and I can highly recommend the set.
