Didn’t last long
This pan worked well for about 2 years then the nonstick coating began to come off, and it is now almost impossible to cook on without a significant amount of food sticking. For the price, I suppose that’s an okay effective useful life, but I wouldn’t purchase again.

Versatile, ergonomic, quality non-stick skillet
There is nothing that makes dinner go faster for our household than a sturdy and reliable non-stick skillet. I recently purchased this pan to replace our faithful T-fall 12 inch skillet. There are relatively few options in this size (OXO makes a competitor), but if you are in the market, the Calphalon is good one.The non-stick surface was flawless when we received it and over a few months has stoop up to regular cooking, with appropriate care (no metal utensils, no dishwasher, avoiding certain cooking techniques that would damage the finish). I do worry a bit about the sharp edges around the pan edge but so far so good. The handle of the pan is very comfortable and sturdy without adding a lot of weight. It is not rubber coated like the similarly sized T-Fal but it is a testament to this pan that I don’t miss it. A non-insulated handle also gives a bit more flexibility about putting this pan in the oven when needed.I chose this pan based on a few factors aside from size and non-stick surface: I wanted a pan with plenty of flat bottom to fit a main dish for four family members. I wanted a pan with slightly higher side-walls than the T-Fal, which was quite low profile, which led to some spills, and I wanted a lid, which I missed. The Calphalon pan met all these requirements and I am generally pleased with how it cooks. My only note is that the lid to this pan is truly ENORMOUS. The domed glass extends all the way beyond the edge of the pan, with an additional metal lip, so it can feel like you are cooking with Captain America’s shield. In the end, prefer this pan to the one that it replaced. It doesn’t feel like I have quite as much cooking surface but in all other ways it has been a nice upgrade.

It’s perfect
It is exactly what I was hoping for. Easy to clean, a good size (fit a whole box of pasta for mixing), and functioned as intended. Handle doesn’t get hot. Good stuff. (I have an electric stove, for reference).

Love it!
I don't always review purchases on Amazon, but when I do, the product deserves it. If I get a lousy product I'll let people know... That's how this works, we rely on reviews because we can't hold it in our hands. With that being said, this is the second purchase of this exact pan that I've made. Made. First of all, it's extremely sturdy, which is hard to find with cheap cookware. Cookware. I would say this is anything but cheap, it's moderately priced but it's well built. That fits directly on top And is simply awesome for cooking. so here's the downside, you are buying a Teflon pan and no matter how careful you are over time, it's going to get a little beat up and a little more until all of a sudden it's not really non-stick anymore. Notice above I said this is my second purchase... I got a lot of mileage out of my first one and I was happy with it. It says it's dishwasher safe and I'm sure it is but honestly, you're better off hand washing this. It takes up less space in the dishwasher and you won't ruin it. Take good care of it and the last of very long time. This was a good purchase on Amazon, one of the few

All that and more
I was in dire need of a new fry pan. My old one had lost all of its charm. Everything stuck to it. It was always a big mess even using oil or Pam didn’t help. So I decided to get a new one. There are so many out there that make all kinds of claims. It caused great confusion for me. That day I happened to be doing some baking and when I took out my baking pans I realized I had the answer in my hands. Several years ago my husband bought me a set of calphalon bakeware for Christmas. As I took out these pans I realized they were in perfect shape like the day I got them. So I ordered the calphalon fry pan with lid and I know that it was a wise purchase. I use it everyday. Sometimes three times a day. It’s sturdy. Nice to look at and I feel confident it will last a long time just like my bakewear

Works Great, Even Heat
This has become the go to Skillet. I love that it’s wide and pretty flat with shallow sides. It holds a lot of food with plenty of space. There is a little bit of bow in the middle, but not much and once food is in, it hardly matters. (The fact that my stove isn’t level is a bigger problem!) it has gotten some visible scratches, but no coating peeling or flaking. It cooks very evenly. I’ve done batches of 8-10 scrambled eggs with no problems and no hot spots. It’s taken it’s place with my Lodge cast iron and my Revere Stainless Steel. I don’t end up using the lid most of the time, but it’s nice to have. I do wish it had a different type of knob.

Great professional feel pan
For $50 bucks I like. I used to get Tfals' for $20-30, some of which are fine. But this is worth the extra dough. Very solid pro-feel with nice handles. The lid is nice, even though I wasn't looking for a glass one; so far so good, (around 2 months). Almost flat and seems to stay that way thru some fairly high heats; good design for thermal-expansion. Non-stick seems reasonably durable; so far. I do use a thin film of avocado oil, (Costco + BHT); but I'm not sure if how much it would stick on eggs bone dry? However sometimes I have to scrub pretty hard to get the last but of food film off even with oiling. Especially bacon? Overall I'm really glad I shelled out $50 for this pan. Will see what happens over the next year.
Nothing sticks to this pan!
No matter what we cook in it, a simple paper towel wipe gets it so clean, you almost wonder if you really need to wash it. Of course we do wash it, but even after cooking hamburgers where melted cheese falls off the sides onto the pan, it easily wipes right off. I've tried pans like Blue Diamond and those horrible copper ones, but they were all disappointments. Not this one. I'll never by another brand of cooking pans again. I'm a Calphalon fan for life.
