It's pricey but it's very well made and packaged ready for gift giving.
If you're like myself, love Le Creuset and outfitted your kitchen with as much of it as you can afford and reasonably use, then you will love all these new accessories they have been coming out with including this very nice wine set. Yes it's pricey, but everything by this brand is well made and priced to match. I've been using it for the last few weeks and the pieces are high quality. Not like the cheaper stuff you find in the kitchen utensils section of the grocery store (which is what I had been using before I ordered this). They don't feel like they're going to bend, snap of break when trying to open a bottle. And with the extra lengths they went to in their packaging of this set, it would make a great gift for someone as well. So nice!

GREAT set of wine tools!
I love entertaining with a bottle of wine, or just having a glass while making dinner. Because I'll often open a bottle and not finish it, I was most excited for this set because of the vacuum stoppers.Here's what I think about each component of the set:1. The packaging of this set is nice for gifting and also for storing - the quality is nice and I imagine the box will hold up quite well.2. The foil cutter is simple to use and quite effective. I've gotten clean cuts each time with no tearing or skipping.3. The bottle opener is great. As someone who hasn't had a lever-style opener before, this is a game changer. Absolutely no complaints from me on this one.4. The vacuum pump and stoppers are great to have. It is a nice touch that this set comes with two, so I can have a bottle of red and white both open at the same time. The stoppers have fit well into each bottle I've tried, and the vacuum pump works well.There honestly isn't anything about this set that I dislike. This would make a great gift, and I could see it being a great birthday, mother's/father's day, or wedding present in particular. These are items that should hold up for years and years, and especially from a brand like Le Creuset, I have no doubt in the quality of their construction and their longevity. I am looking forward to using this set for years to come, and I would definitely recommend this set.

Complete set with everything for the wine lover
This is a set that has all the essentials- although a vacuum set is a more unique option that you don't commonly see. I have a foil cutter and opener from Rabbit that I've had practically forever and it works great. I like this Le Creuset foil cutter better than the one I have that is just round so it doesn't work for all bottles but this one that is more of a U-shaped has a lot more versatility which is great.The corkscrew...my hubby liked it but I really didn't. Maybe I need to use it more or maybe it was just the bottle I opened that was odd but I found I had to use quite a bit of force to pull the cork out. It seemed like it would be a smooth operation but it really wasn't for me.The vacuum is a handy thing to have around. I've tried wine preservers in the past but haven't been very impressed with them for one reason or another. We also have a Coravin if we really want to save a bottle. I found this wine preserver kit not only easy to use, but it also provides a good seal. These are great for saving a bottle for another day or two (depending on your ability to get out as much air as possible) but I would not trust these for longer than that, especially on a more expensive bottle. Overall good to have around if you don't want to or cannot finish the bottle.The packaging this comes in is very giftable. I did deduct a star for a couple of reasons. While these are decent quality (what you would expect from Le Creuset), the price point is too high in my opinin to be just another made in China set.

The wine tool set by Le Creuset is certainly nice enough, but it does seem that you are paying for the brand name rather than a big jump in quality over the other sets out there. If the foil cutter and stoppers were nicer or if the set was made in France (its made in China), I could understand the cost, but none of those apply.The one item that will probably get the most use is the level style corkscrew which does operate smoothly.Overall, the set is nice, but at this price point, I was expecting better.

Great gift for a Wine Lover
This is such a great gift idea for a wine lover! It comes nicely packaged and if you include with their favorite bottle of wine you have the perfect gift. The set itself is pricy, but it’s brand name and high quality which most people will pay extra for. The 5 tools that this set comes with are useful and the best is the wine pump that keeps your opened bottle fresh for several days. The foil cutter is probably not necessary as most people don’t grab for an extra tool to do this, but an avid wine drinker may appreciate this more than the ordinary person.Overall, you pay for the name and quality. If you are looking for a high quality gift idea, but don’t want to spend hundreds, this would be an amazing option.
Wonderful, efficient; many pieces come with varying warranties
I'm not an avid wine drinker, but I do enjoy it with dinner occasionally, enough where I was able to break my wine opened. So I thought, why not treat myself?This Le Creuset set comes from a known brand for kitchenware. It's expensive but there are multiple pieces - the opener, some stoppers and a pump, and a tool that opens the foil around the top of a wine bottle. AKA everything you need. I thought this set would be a little gimmicky, but was pleasantly surprised. Each piece comes with its own manual and instructions (available in a wide variety of languages), each piece comes with varying warranties, and each piece comes nicely packaged in the box. They are easy to use and very effective. The wine opener was a little tricky at first, but once I figured it out I was surprised at just how fast and efficient it opens bottles - no more using all my might to pull that cork out!Based on the presentation, quality of pieces, and warranties, I think this would be an excellent gift for someone that enjoys wine. I would recommend it.
