Stunning Piece For A Magnetic Trivet
I love me a well-designed trivet. I have several different ones of different designs and this is my first magnetic one.This is a circular dark brown wooden trivet with three black silicone rings on top. The silicone's height protects against heat and prevents any hot pots from burning/discoloring the wood. Speaking from previous experience, don't put anything super hot over wood because it will burn the wood; I'm talking specifically about anything above 500 °F. Even though a pot wouldn't directly touch the wood, the absolute heat will reach your wood and could ruin the look. Just a warning.The hidden magnets inside are strong enough to stick to any pot. And because it's magnetic, once you attach a pot to it, you don't have to see where to rest your pot on the counter because your trivet is already there.The bottom has three cutouts for the hidden magnets, but the surface has been sanded completely flat for easy wipe cleaning.Overall, this is a highly functional and beautiful piece. The price is supremely premium for the craftsmanship and materials, but you do get that Le Creuset name.

Very Heat resistant
I say very heat resistant because it's magnetic and it was stuck to the bottom of my le crueset pot in the oven while cooking. I just didn't see it. It came out hot but none the worse for wear. So if you get one be sure to check the bottom of your pot before cooking in the oven!!! :) otherwise, Its a great trivet

Make sure you remove trivet from bottom of pot
This is an awesome addition to any kitchen that has stainless steel and cast iron pots, pans and skillets such as Le Creuset.( but will work on any brand). While I love the idea of placing my hot pots on the trivet in the kitchen and then taking straight to the table, you HAVE to be mindful to not put the pot back on the stove with out taking the trivet off. It gets hidden and you simply forget. I can tell you from experience, on my gas stove…you create a small fire. Not Le creuset’s fault, and not the fault of the item…all human error, but fair warning! I still totally recommend and I did replace it immediately. I have never made that mistake again :) Very happy with the innovative magnet and convenience. Nice that you can bring your beautiful Le creuset to the table to show off and not have to worry about burn marks.

Quick to get your hot pot on a table!
This blew my mind - it really works. Keep it next to your stove; remove hot pot from stove and place on the magnetic wooden trivet, and transport the pot + trivet to your table. So easy and such good protection. I have a large Le Creuset dutch oven and it covers the bottom perfectly.
