For starters, I took a chance buying a used “like new” kettle cuz I just couldn’t pass up the discount on a kettle I’ve been eyeing for months. It arrived in the original packaging and is in perfect condition. I’ve used it every day for a week, multiple times a day for pour over coffee in the morning and tea at night. It’s exactly what I needed.**A major theme I’ve seen revolving around the negative reviews is that the steel seems to degrade and rust around the edges of the enamel near the lid. These negative reviews are clearly user error. The care tips/instructions from Le Creuset clearly state that you need to pour out the remaining water from the kettle after you’ve removed it from the heat source. Allow the kettle to cool down and use a rag or paper towel to dry the pot and lid, especially around the areas where steel meets enamel. It’s not that hard. Take care of your things and they will last a long, long time. Le Creuset is a high end brand but that doesn’t mean you should neglect caring for it properly. This is common knowledge for everyone who regularly uses these types of kettles. So don’t let the bad reviews scare you.

Classic design lives on
This is my 2nd one of these. Purchased first one about 23 years ago and with not much upkeep on my part it worked well right up to the end. Replaced it with this one which is almost exactly like it. Hopefully it will do as well.

I have been using this product for a few months and have not had any issues with it. It's very easy to clean and looks fantastic sitting on my stove top at all times. Something I didn't expect was the whistle - it's most certainly loud enough to hear from other rooms, but it's not as obscenely loud as other teapots I've had in the past.

I drink lots of coffee and tea, so boiled water is a priority. I've had many kettles with loose lids, faulty spouts and corroding interiors, so I decided to go big and spring for this kettle. First off, it is beautiful. As you use it you begin to appreciate how well designed it is. The wooden handle is very high above the lid. The latch on the whistling spout is also wood, reducing the likelihood of burns. The lid fits very tightly with a small indentation for release of steam. The enamel is smooth inside and out, making it easy to clean. The shape and tight closures contribute to fast boiling. I hope to treat this kettle kindly and have it for many years to come.

Wonderful Kettle
I have been using this kettle daily for 8 months now, and it is an absolute beauty. I am a tea enthusiast and probably drink 6-8 cups a day. This kettle is solid and sturdy, and because I take good care of it, it is holding up magnificently. I'm sure to empty it after every use, and since it's still warm after use it dries in no time, therefore I do not have any rust issues. The whistle is loud and works every time because the lid has a nice snug fit. I love the traditional design, and the gorgeous, shiny enamel matches all my other Caribbean Le Creuset pieces. Meets all expectations.This lovely kettle works extremely well on my glass top stove. Solid construction, nice whistle, heats quickly, lid and handle firmly installed, handle does not get warm. Whistle flip top easy to use. And it is lovely, to boot! The color is deep at the bottom and lightens toward the top. The inside is black enamel. Glad I spent the extra money since I have been disappointed in the past and I use a kettle 3-5 times a day. This size is suited to 2-3 cups at a time. I will update the review after a time if any of the features lose their rating from use.

I totally love my LeCreuset caribean colored teapot. But of course, it is LeCreuset, isn't it! It is easy to clean, looks beautiful to perk up my kitchen. I have had it for over a year, and it looks as wonderful as the day I bought it! It doesn't accumulate lime or other deposits like stainless steel teakettles. I can see that this will last a very long time if not forever! it is easy care. I was concerned that the smaller kettle would be too small, but it's perfect, and you don't waste time and electricity waiting for the boil. I love the size, the appearance and everything about it!
