Works great
I like using a tea pot because using my coffee maker leaves a coffee taste in my tea.

Finally, a perfect tea kettle for me.
I finally found a kettle that is a good size for one or two persons and has a whistle that is nice and loud. I have the worst luck on whistling kettles, reviews will say the whistle is loud and then when I get one the whistle sounds like an asthmatic wheeze. I guess it is the luck of the draw and I finally lucked out.Pros: Stainless steel but works on induction cooktop, good size for heating water for a cup or two, loud whistle, well madeCons: Like all traditional shaped tea kettles, it can be a little difficult to pour if you use the top handle grip. I find holding the handle on the side (opposite the spout) makes it is very easy to pour. This part of the handle does not get hot when using an induction cooktop, but you might need a hot pad on a traditional oven.

Looks good, lousy design
Save your money. Buy something else. This is well made. Looks good. Great heavy bottom and insulated lid. Should have been the best tea kettle going. But... It is a total failure. It will spit water ten feet across the room. It will throw water all over the counter when you try to pour. There is no vent for air to get in as the water is being poured out, and the heavy bottom keeps it boiling as you are pouring it. Throws water everywhere. I finally thew out the lid and use it as a pan with a spout, and still it is not good.Quality built item. Totally useless as a tea kettle.

Love this kettle!
I love my stainless steel kettle. It’s a perfect size for me to lift and works great for my morning tea. It’s also very pretty and looks great on the stove. If you wait a moment to pour after it whistles you will not experience any splattering or overflow of water. It just needs a minute for the steam to settle and it pours perfect. So happy I purchased this kettle.

Very happy with this lovely and handy teapot
I did a ton (some might say a crazy amount) of research and thinking before buying this, and am very happy with the results--and glad there was a slight detour on the way. At first I ordered the enamel version in the Caribbean Blue. I loved that color. It arrived, and I realized I was treating it gingerly as I was worried about it chipping. When I took the protective cardboard off the end of the spout, I found there was already a chip there. I decided that for round 2, I'd go for the stainless steel. I did not want to worry about something I use every day. I hated to spend the extra $20, which crossed some line into "too expensive" for me, but when I stopped to think about it, I realized the stainless steel version will likely last much longer. It was hard to let go of the Caribbean Blue, but I will say that I find the stainless steel quite beautiful. It reflect the colors in my kitchen. It looks great on my stove. It has the classic look I was hoping for.I love the tea pot's size--leaves more space on my continuous grate stove, and plenty big for my needs, which are mostly my daily cup of tea, but sometimes I make tea or coffee for one or two other people as well. I find that when I just boil enough for me I don't need to use a mitt, but when I boil for more people I do. The whistle is great. It starts soft and gets louder. Yes, the water sputters out if I forget to swirl it a little first, but my previous kettle (a Revere) did the same. The lid is a good amount of tight. I like that when I take the lid off I can see and reach inside easily. The water heats reasonably fast for me. I've learned how much I need to put in for one cup, so that helps.I'm taking off a star for two picky things--with a price like this tea pot has, my standards are high. The instructions show a picture of inside to let you know how high you can fill the kettle. It does not match the actual inside of the kettle. I had to measure out some water and fill it to see if my guess was correct (it was--you can cover the smaller holes below, but not the larger one). The other picky thing is that there was a sticker on the bottom that was very difficult to get off. Not so nice to get your beautiful new kettle with a brushed stainless bottom and have to scratch something off first thing. Again--those two things are picky. I've had the tea pot for over a month and am loving it!UPDATE: I have had this teapot for well over 3.5 years now. I use it every day, sometimes more than once. I still love it. I still think it looks great on my stove. The whistle still works fine.I have found that when I heat up enough water for just one cup pouring slowly keeps it from sputtering. When I heat enough water for a quart jar the handle gets hot, so I need to use a mitt, but it won't sputter.

It is very nice, shiny and pretty
Got this teapot yesterday. It is very nice, shiny and pretty. The handle on the lid was not tightened, so when I washed it, it got water inside, so tighten the lid b4 washing. It is a bit heavier than my other teapot, but warmed up in half the time. I did not have any problems with the handle being hot and I love how it can be moved to the side if you need to to clean or put water in. I tipped the lid off the spout to stop the pleasant sounding whistle when I was ready to use it. It was a nice sound, not too loud or high pitched, but definitely could be heard in another room. The water poured nicely and did not bubble out and spew as some people mentioned, but I did not overfill it. I also pour slowly, so maybe that is why. No problems~ came a day earlier than they said it would. very pleased.

Love This Kettle
This is a great kettle. It is well made and beautifully designed. It is perfect for 1 or 2 large mugs of tea. The handle is high enough and get s a little warm, but not hot enough to pick up with my bare hand. The handle locks too.The whistle has a nice tone and is not too loud.I had bought the ceramic Le Creuset kettle, but this one is much nicer. You have to pour slowly at first, when the water has been boiled, but that is the case even when you boil water in a pot.I would buy this again and I am really enjoying it.
Do you want it to last forever?
Then buy the stainless. Worth every penny.
