I was so impressed with my first one I bought a second one in grey. First one was for a butter crock and this one is to keep kosher salt. Love these stoneware cocottes. They clean easy and they keep things dry even though some have said the lid is loose. It's supposed to be so it can burp when in the oven to release heat. It fits solid though no gaps. That's why I like it for salt and butter. I can leave them on the counter and the salt doesn't get hard and butter isn't dried out.

Great for certain cooking needs
This is a really great item for certain things. The main thing I needed it for was small batches of garlic confit. It’s really sturdy and well made, looks beautiful, and will last forever if taken care of. Like other le creuset items, it has a ten year warranty. It can also be used as a nice looking gravy/sauce bowl when serving meals, or a sugar bowl, etc. Just keep in mind that it’s tiny and only able to be used for small things like that, don’t let photos fool you into thinking you’ve found a deal on a Dutch oven lol
