The enameled surface is easy to clean and scratch-resistant. The enamel is completely hygienic and will not absorb odors or flavors.

Oven: Maximum oven-safe temperature is 500°F / 260°C. Use oven mitts for lifting at all times.

Cleaning: Before the first use, wash the dish in hot, soapy water, and rinse and dry thoroughly. For most day-to-day cleaning, cool the dish for a few minutes before washing and drying, or wash in the dishwasher, allowing the full cycle to complete. Never leave a dish fully immersed in water.

Beautiful tray, received broken TWICE!
Sad to receive a beautiful serving tray in pieces, not once but twice. I assumed bubble wrap/protective packing material would have been added after my comment and similar reviews from other shoppers. The tray was packed alone in a box, then shipped in a larger box with no packing material whatsoever.

Sturdy and Beautiful in the Le Creuset Tradition
This item was bought as a gift.Having accidentally shattered a stoneware tray belonging to a friend, I promised to replace it. It turned out the original tray (NOT a Le Creuset) was no longer made, and my friend generously said that I could get her something different. It was she who noticed this tray for sale at Amazon, at a price we both considered fair. The first tray arrived broken - Amazon said they'd replace it immediately, and we didn't even have to send back the pieces of the first tray. It arrived on time and intact and has already been put into use.Both my friend and I love Le Creuset and this tray is a fine example of why.

WOW these are expensive but worth every penny. This platter is beautiful and makes anything you put on it GORGEOUS. I thought it would spill the juices because of the handles but no. There is a small dip in the middle to prevent the juices from pouring out. It has everything you want in a substantial platter. I want more le creuset but I'd have to take it a loan. Excellent in every way.

Simple, basic, and functional
This tray looks great, especially if you own other pieces of le Creuset in the Marseilles blue. The tray is a great size for serving corn, or grilled veggies, or sliced meats. I was afraid that the cut outs by the handles would make the tray too shallow, and would cause the tray to spill meat juices when used as a serving tray. It's close, but so far so good. It does work as a serving tray both for wet and dry food items. And it looks great.

The platter is gorgeous. It's not large enough for a huge turkey, but you're not supposed to purchase one that is over ten pounds anyway. Substantial piece. Le Creuset stoneware is top notch. For all the people complaining that it is made in China, so what. It may be made there but it is under the tight quality control that Le Creuset demands. I'd purchase again.
