Bought this pan months ago. The drudge of scrubbing my old pan every time I made scrambled eggswas getting on my nerves. The description for this Le Creuset is true. This is a rinse only pan. I told my husband, if we have to evacuate because of a fire I'm taking the pan. Would give it as a gift.

Guessing I used it an average of 5 days a week over the 14 months I've owned this pan. Surface is scratched a bit, but eggs and meat still release just fine.

Really Excellent Pan!
I was a bit judgemental because my wife wanted a non-stick pan, and I know that non-stick pans are ultimately disposable because of the surface wearing off, not to mention the dangers of the surface entering your food. However, this is a heavy pan, the heat distribution is excellent, and because it's got a real metal surface, not a coating, maybe it's not disposable? We have higher-end Circulon pan that has a non-stick aluminum surface and it's about 15 years old and I can see it lasting at least another 15 years so this is a far superior pan than the Circulon. I suspect it may out live us. We've had it for about 6 months too and no scratches from use or cleaning. You get what you pay for.
