So easy to use!

This is the perfect wine opener. I have used them for years. This was a gif for a friend whom I saw struggling with a traditional opener. She is thrilled with how easy this oneis to use.

The BEST

This is the BEST and EASIEST wine bottle opener! It is also compact to save drawer space. Have used this for many years and have given many to family and friends.

Easy, Fast

I was introduced to this corkscrew (Screwball branded) by a wine club manager who swore by it. At first look, I thought it kind of cheap-looking ... a light, plastic gimmick. But, I bought one to try based on his recommendation (and seeing him use it at tastings), and I came to prefer it over all others for all but the most stubborn corks - you know, the type that need the two-prong opener. It lasted over 20 years! So much for lightweight and cheap! It finally gave up the ghost on a stubborn cork and I immediately replaced it with the 100% identical Le Creuset model. I've already used it several times and it is absolutely the same corkscrew. Fast and easy. I do keep a couple of waiter-type corkscrews on hand for the odd bottle neck that the Screwpull/Le Creuset model doesn't fit well, but those are thankfully few.Great corkscrew.

The best wine opener

This is the easiest and best wine opener you can have. I have had one for 15 years. I couldn’t find it so I panicked and bought another. Found the first one but am glad to have a backup. Works as good as the day I bought it!

Love that cork screw

I have used this kind of cork screw for over 30 years. Very easy to get a cork out. Specially for women. After many years my last one broke. If you get a cork that is very, very tight, don't force it.

Not as well made as the older Screwpull model, but we like it anyway

For many years we used the Screwpull version of this opener. At one point, the handle snapped, so I ordered a new one. In the intervening years, LeCreuset had bought the Screwpull brand., but was still offering this opener. At first glance, it looks the same, and it is - almost. The most obvious difference, at least for the one we got, is that the handle fits too loosely on the square post, and it has a tendency to separate while you are operating it. A more minor difference is that the screw itself doesn't go into corks quite as smoothly as the older model.Nevertheless, this is what we use at home and what we take traveling. I have not seen anything I like better.Funny story - there's another couple we often travel with, and we sent them one of our spare openers to take with them traveling. One day I got a email complaint that they had been unable to figure out how to use it for a long time (I had sent them just the opener, not the package with instructions.) They did eventually work it out.
