I Own Several Made In Pieces
I was looking for a gratin dish that was not made in China . . . and this offered the best value. Another name brand gratin dish was $20 less, much smaller than Made In, but was made in China. This Made In gratin is manufactured in France. The Made In stainless steel skillets are top shelf, made in Italy.

Beautiful dish, wonderful for baking, easy to clean!
I really like these dishes from Made In Cookware. I also have a square dish from them that's been great. So far I've only been impressed with the products that they release. These dishes come very well packaged. The boxes are extra large and give plenty of space around the dish to keep it safe from bumps in transit. The dish is fitted into a dedicated cutout that keeps it well secured. The color of the rim is pretty close to the color presented in the listing images. It's a navy blue that gains some vibrancy under direct light, but is otherwise quite dark. The dish that I received is not completely glazed, or finished. This is consistent with the square dish that I received, as well as what other reviewers have reported. As I said in my review of the square dish, I'm actually a fan of the way it looks, but I'm unsure how the bottom of the dish will stand up over time compared to the finished surfaces. Stains on the chalky underside do not seem nearly as easy to clean off as the finished surfaces. This dish does well at resisting stuck-on food for most foods. I did have some sticking issues when broiling salmon in this dish. The juices had dried onto the surface, and the dish had to be soaked a few times with some light scrubbing with a sponge to fully remove all of it. Just about everything else I've cooked with this dish has washed off with the soft side of a sponge and a little running water.Scour pads (the green side of the two-tone sponges) will leave some small surface scratches and swirls on this dish. Try to avoid using them unless absolutely necessary. At the time of writing this review, this dish was listed at $69.00. That's quite expensive for a ceramic baking dish. It's certainly a very nice dish that performs well, but at three times the price of other dishes, is it worth it? I think that the price is justified for a product actually manufactured, in majority by hand, in France (like the product and listing purports). The best indication that I could find that this is the case was on their website in the "Two Centuries of Craftsmanship" video. At the end of the day, this promise of origin and the people it supports is what justifies the considerable price difference to other ceramic dishes.

Great for the holidays
I've used this for making a Breakfast Quiche after my square dish came broken but had already purchased stuff to make it, this worked just fine for that. Only other thing so far was lasagna, which didn't stick to the dish and was easy to clean away.

I like it
It’s very nice. It’s a little smaller then I expected but I like it still. It’s solid and I love the color so much.

Lovely & Performs Well, Lightweight Sturdy, French Craftmanship Superior To Le Creuset Stoneware
This Made In Cookware Baking Dish is hand crafted in France from porcelain and is a beautiful oval 2.4 quart piece that’s white with pretty red rim that’s a bit orangey rather than deep red. The interior measures about 8” x 11”. The handles are secure and comfortable to hold. The porcelain, glaze and finish look perfect. I use primarily porcelain bakeware for looks and performance and this oval shape is great for baking dishes such as scalloped potatoes and oven roasting meat and vegetables. The oval looks lovely from oven to table. It’s a medium size that’s sturdy but lightweight (no back strain). I have a Made In square baking dish and use both in the oven at the same time for a main dish and a side. So far, I’ve roasted a turkey breast and rosemary potatoes in the oval, and the performance is excellent. The finish isn’t nonstick, but I use a little oil or butter and it’s stick resistant in that the pan cleans up easily. While the pan may be shockproof, I always avoid extreme temperature changes. This baking dish is a smaller but similar style to one of my oval Le Creuset stoneware baking dishes. The Le Creuset performs well and is also attractive, but mainly because it color matches my Le Creuset Dutch oven. To me, the craftsmanship of the “Made In” baking dish and the crisp white finish of the “Made In” pan visually looks smoother and superior to me. Both brands seem sturdy, though I haven’t used this Made In oval baking dish enough to fully judge durability yet.I value that the “Made In” oval was crafted in France. I think of Euro standards as stricter as to lead and safety issues. The French craftsmanship is unique and hard to find, especially at a reasonable price. The Le Creuset stoneware bakeware I own wasn’t made in France, unlike their high end cookware pieces. It’s good but fairly generic beyond color matching the cookware, yet it yields a premium compared to similar bakeware also made in China or Thailand. The “Made In” bakeware stands out to me as being higher end European bakeware at fair prices. Love it. 5 stars.
Make your food taste better!
I keep acquiring Made In pieces, and this one has not disappointed. Very nice finish that has held-up well, and it has been very easy to clean. Perfect size for many dishes. We use it as everyday cookware, and it still looks good enough to serve on any Thanksgiving table (understated elegance). Some may disagree, but I ‘m convinced that aesthetically pleasing cookware makes food taste even better. So, get this for better tasting Mac & Cheese, Sweet Potato Casserole, or whatever you are cooking tonight.
