Can't get enough Made In stuff
Every time I order a set of Made In products, I'm impressed with how sleek yet sturdy they are, and how well they go with the kitchen stuff I already have (which is not, admittedly, all matching items). So far, I have a set of the slightly larger size of these plates and couldn't resist the opportunity to add a different kind. They look professional, like nice restaurant stuff, but not too thick or bulky like some restaurant dishes can be.What you do with this size plate is obviously up to you -- but they're so nice that you'll probably *want* to find all sorts of things to put on them.

Pretty and Thick
What I like:* Each plate is thick enough to give it enough strength to survive minor falls.* The color and glaze look great, smooth and shiny* Great size for snacks or small dessertsThese have a shallow lip, so I wouldn't use it for something that was going to melt, but it's just enough lip for you to use to scoop up the last bit of cake. What I don't like? Nothing. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong or unappealing about these plates. Therefore I can wholeheartedly endorse them.

Pinholes and pits outside of the beauty marks
I am surprised with the number of rave reviews. I am also surprised with the number of people accepting the defects in the dishes outside of the beauty marks.Every SINGLE piece has multiple pinholes and pits in the finish outside of the beauty marks. Totally disappointing since I was looking forward to obtaining this set.I have other Made In products that are outstanding in quality, but I do not recommend this product.

These Are So Cute. Perfect. So Incredibly Smooth, But Heavy.

Why? Because name brand products have high quality standards and stand behind what they sell; that includes “Made In”. So, if there is a defect, I can look to “Made In” to honor their warranty. Further, if I need an additional piece, to add or to replace in my growing collection, I can look to “Made In” to likely have what I want. Which brings us confidence in any “Made In” product, including this tableware (bread & butter plates).Depth?About ¼” to the rim from the plates inside area.Rise from table?About ½”, so sits low on the table.Bottom line:I am pleased with my selection. Although there are some non-glazed pin spots on the reverse of the bread & butter plates, I saw how the production of tableware takes place. The piece does not simply “float through the air” to and into the glazing and firing areas of production. Rather, the plate is suspended by some sort of pins, which leads me to believe any unglazed pin spots(beauty marks) are where the bread & butter plates touched while moving through the production process. When the product is prepared for packing, my understanding is that the worker looks at the top and then stacks with the bottom facing up, so there is opportunity to do a quality control check. If this were outside of tolerances, I am confident the piece would have been rejected. The use of the bread & butter plates, which are stackable, is only limited by my imagination. My toddler saw these bread & butter plates, and was amazed over their smooth texture and feel, and good looks and their thoughts suggested using these for traditional holiday meals... Yes, and something to pass onto the next generation, that’s how nice these bread & butter plates are. ;0)Weight of each bread & butter plateAbout 7¾ oz.Made from?Clay, locally harvested (also known as porcelain).Made where?Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. The pottery mark notes “Made in England.”Great for rolls – base for bowlsSmall finger sandwiches, snacks, appetizers too.The price is upper-mid level. But considering its location of manufacture, by a handmade type of process, classic old-world quality, this is a bargain, when considering the totality. I applaud those who started “Made In.”I hope my thoughts added information.

Made In Cookware Bread & Butter Plates - Set of 4
I'm always looking for beautiful and practical serving pieces. When I set out these Made In Cookware Bread & Butter Plates, I knew I had found something special. These plates are crafted from fine English porcelain, which gives them a deep gloss that's missing from my everyday dishes. The white with black trim adds a touch of retro elegance that will complement any place setting.Despite its delicate appearance, Porcelain can hold up well in everyday use, and the glazed surface resists chipping and staining. The plates are also dishwasher and microwave safe, making cleanup easy. The simple design of these dishes makes them ideal for both casual and formal occasions. They're the perfect size for a BLT or a slice of apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side!I'll be using them to serve everything from sandwiches and snacks to appetizers and desserts. And I've even put aside a few of these plates for late night snacks in the upstairs kitchen.I would highly recommend the Made In Cookware Bread & Butter Plates to anyone looking for a stylish and functional addition to their tableware collection. The quality of these dishes is unsurpassed.
Nice plates and the perfect size for bread, of course, that's what they're made for.
I bought these because they matched other dinnerware that I had. The maker of my current dinnerware did not offer the 6" bread plate. I was okay with paying a premium for the plates because I wanted to match my current dinnerware. It matches well, and I'm happy about that, but the quality is not what I expected for a premium price tag. One of the 4 plates I bought doesn't sit flat on my marble countertop. It rocks from side to side; that's annoying. Also, on the plates, there are imperfections in the glazing. I can feel/see little nits over the surface of the plates. Also annoying.I wouldn't be able to recommend the plates unless you're like me and need to match your existing pattern/color.
