Beautifully Handcrafted Porcelain - Made In is the Best
This masterpiece is made in France. It is a bit spendy, but you get what you pay for. The form and function are exquisite. I like the high sides when doing water baths while making creme bruile. I especially like its weight - it doesn't slide around the work surface. Porcelain bakes evenly for uniform cook. It can handle 450F degrees which extends its flexibility. The pan is shipped in its own container so there is no worry of damage.The final thing I would add although it is dishwasher safe, I would hand-wash. I like to use Dawn dishwashing liquid along with boiling water. A scrub with a nylon kitchen brush and you are good to go.

This is a 2nd purchase of the Made In brand. Purchased a pie plate last year and have been very pleased with their high quality. They cook evenly, Look great with the colored accents, and are super easy to clean. Nothing sticks to the glazed surface of the porcelain. Will continue to purchase the Made In brand and will also purchase to give as gifts. Have had so many complements on these items! Hope this helps.

I'm picky and I'm keeping this one
I'm very picky about my kitchen and what goes in it. Everything I have it carefully thought out and planned. I've been waiting a while to buy this pan and I'm glad I finally made the leap and bought it. It's bigger than I expected although I it's accurate with the size description. It's thermal shock resistant which is why I went with it because I've ruined a couple of frozen meals taking from freezer or fridge directly to the oven. You can wash this in the dishwasher or by hand. I'm very happy I decided on it. You won't regret it either.

What I received should NEVER have been sent to any customer. It was warped beyond imagination.
I bought this gorgeous lasagna pan even after reading one review stating that the reviewer had received the same piece I was purchasing and it was warped to where it couldn't come close to setting still on a flat surface, and it had to be returned. I thought, surely it had slipped through quality control and shouldn't be much of a concern. I received the gorgeous porcelain rectangular baking dish and unwrapped it and immediately admired it's unparalleled beauty. I took the pan and sat it on my glass Dining Room Table and it rocked like a miniature rocking horse. I was shocked. So, I sat it on a coffee table, my kitchen counter top, and it was warped past the point of rescue. It made me physically sick. Why would a business send something like that out. It should have immediately been discarded by the first quality control person who touched it. It was beautiful but totally unusable. Obviously I'm still needing a new pan because my Emile Henry France lasagna pan got knocked off my counter top and exploded when it hit my marble floor. :-(

This handsome Made In brand ceramic rectangular slate blue casserole/baking dish holds 5.3 quarts and weighs a substantial 6.6 pounds. The piece is made in France and although beautiful there are some cosmetic mars in the glaze that should not affect use but are somewhat disappointing. The flaws consist of a small scratch on the interior that can be seen and felt along with a section where one of the handles joins the top edge of the dish which although completely coated with glaze feels rough.The size of this baking dish is one that is frequently used and considered a kitchen staple. It is regularly the size needed for things like a large fruit cobbler, bread pudding, cake, twice baked potatoes, breakfast strata, etc. The interior and sides are glazed, the handles are designed to be large enough to secure a good grip and the bottom is unglazed. The piece is quite sturdy and can be used in the microwave oven along with a regular oven up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit—and it is dishwasher safe.The unglazed bottom of pans like this one can pick up marks and stains and they are easily removed with a miracle eraser pad. Very nice basic pan but some minor issues with the finish.
